We’ve made great strides in moving the electricity sector toward renewable energy. However, transportation remains a major source of air pollution and global warming gases. If we are to make a transition to renewable energy, we will need to electrify as much of the economy as we can, including transportation. Electrified rail is one means, electric vehicles (EVs) are another. The focus here is mostly on our experience driving EVs. We’ve been driving electric since the fall of 2014.

Northvolt has announced that it has selected a location in Quebec, on the south shore of Montreal, to build a new $5 billion battery gigafactory. The company plans to start construction of the first phase by the end of the year and be in production by 2026. The first phase will have a 30 GWh capacity.

My Chevy Bolt End Of Summer Report

After three months, the 2017 Chevy Bolt we bought in June has exceeded all our expectations and then some. Our Chevy Bolt has been a revelation. We also own a Tesla Model Y and sort of expected the Bolt to be a pale imitation, lacking in refinement and overall goodness. We were pleasantly surprised. The car rides beautifully. I actually think it handles bumps in the road better than the Tesla. The hatchback means we can fit all our stuff inside easily. It is comfortable and quiet.
