Auch der Ausbau der Windenergie konnte 2012 einen deutli-chen Schub verzeichnen. Neuanlagen mit einer Leistung von 2.440 MW wurden zugebaut – eine beträchtliche Steigerung gegenüber 2011 (2.007 MW). Insgesamt waren bis Ende 2012 in Deutschland knapp 31.315 MW Windenergieleistung installiert.
