With bright sunshine, spring in the air, and a bit of cabin fever, we headed west out of Bakersfield to a remote site on the Carrizo Plains National Monument hunting wild flowers. Social distancing wasn't a problem. Most of the time there wasn't a human in sight for as far as the eye could see.

In a region of California with a dearth of DC fast-charging stations, the owner of Love Truck Stops plans to install three 50 kW DCFC stations at a new truck stop in Boron, California. The station on Hwy 58 will serve a major east-west corridor that connects I-5 with I-15 and I-40.

The World Wind Energy Association was formed because existing organizations were narrowly focused on the often arcane and specialized needs of the commercial wind industry. There was no organization with the long term view that people, especially the people who use and live with wind energy were vitally important to the industry's ultimate success. There was a need, and WWEA filled it. That need still exists today--even more so than two decades ago.

A Volta free Level 2 charge station was spotted at the Capitola Mall by Liz McDannold while on her rounds. Apparently the station has been in operation since the spring of 2017.
