Nova Scotia has postponed the hearing into feed-in tariffs for tidal power plants because of insufficient evidence from participants.
Nova Scotia’s Utility and Review Board had schedule a hearing for 19 March but was warned by their consultants, Synapse, that data on tidal power plants necessary for determining a feed-in tariff rate was not forthcoming.
“The Board will issue an amended schedule leading to a hearing after Board Counsel consultant Synapse has confirmed to the Board that it has received the quantitative information it requires from intervenors and potential developers. The Board does not see much point in proceeding to set a timetable until Synapse has the basic information that would permit it to design a draft rate.”
No date for the rescheduled hearing has been set.
