These regional subsidies can be significant. For example, here in California’s Central Valley the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District offers a $3,000 subsidy to buy or lease an EV. On top of the that PG&E, the local utility, offers an additional subsidy of $800 as a refund for an EVs carbon credits.
