Photos of Easywind (Ventus) Wind Turbines
Also known as Ventus, the German design has been around for decades. The Easywind is unusual because its design harkens back to the early days of modern wind energy when upwind rotors used struts and stays. From this standpoint, the design seems archaic, but the product has been on the market in various versions for many years.
The 6-meter, four-blade upwind turbine is rated by the manufacturer at 6 kW.
Marketing of the product is also unusual in my experience because the company’s principals were the first to publicly publish a measured power curve.
