Neue Energie, 8/2006, reports that where in the past German projects would contain 30 to 40 turbines, the trend is toward projects with fewer turbines, from three to six each. The reason is not clear, but as there are fewer and fewer sites and the turbines are becoming bigger, there is pressure to fit smaller projects on smaller sites.
