Why do I not get compensation for that? The Government was supposed to have feed-in tariff rules set by July. There’s little sign that will happen. As more people install solar PV, the grid is getting more free power from homeowners.

The current renewable energy feed-in tariff (Refit) is being replaced in 2020 with an auction-based “renewable electricity support scheme” (Ress).
The Irish government has established three REFIT feed-in tariff support schemes, which between them are intended to support approximately 4,700MW of renewable electricity generation.
