Our friends had organized a morning visit to the Ardis Walker house and museum of western history in Kernville. Walker was a prominent and colorful local figure in Kern County from the 1960s until his death in the 1990s. He was instrumental in establishing the Golden Trout Wilderness north of Kernville.

Tehachapi L2 EV Charging Station Operational

The City of Tehachapi has completed installation of its Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station. The two, Level 2 EVSEs are located in the parking lot adjacent to City Hall. The station, part of the ChargePoint system, requires a ChargePoint RFID fob to operate, but are free.

We had about a dozen cars, so there's a dozen drivers there. Leafs, MiEV, two BMWi3s, a Ford, Rav 4, and a Tesla. There was quite a line up of vehicles--the Tesla attracting the most attention naturally.
