I was told they did when I took my 2020 Bolt EV in for a diagnostic check of its traction battery. It was a shock to me, particularly after a GM “concierge” staffer told me they didn’t do that when I talked to them before I took the car in. The concierge also told me that I could refuse the safety recall software that limited the usable capacity of the Bolt’s battery by 20%.

Since I posted my article on the revised rating of Smith-Putnam’s famed wind turbine of the 1940s, I’ve received several comments. (See When is a 1,250 kW Wind Turbine Only 1,000 kW? Setting the Smith-Putnam Record Straight.) One was from an old wind hand, Mark Haller. Others also noted the historical record is rife with the error.

Call for warning systems after third sea eagle killed by wind turbine

Another sea eagle which had been fitted with a GPS tracking device as part of a monitoring programme has died after being hit by the blade of a wind turbine in Flevoland, nature journal Nature Today reports.
