Every so often, it is claimed that electric vehicles (EVs) are somehow dirtier than the petrol and diesel cars that they are replacing. So, in conclusion, electric vehicles already vastly reduce particulate matter from brake wear, and claims of tyre wear contributing 1,000 times the particulate matter pollution of petrol and diesel exhausts are greatly overexaggerated.
