The real costs of supporting renewable energy have only increased from 2.39 to 2.54 cents/kWh, i.e. by just 6.3%.

According to calculations by the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE), the EEG surcharge for 2014 will increase from its current level of 5.27 cent/ kilowatt-hour to 6.42 cent/ kilowatt-hour (kWh). . . Nevertheless, the real costs of supporting renewable energy have only increased from 2.39 to 2.54 cent/kWh, i.e. by just 13%.
